As part of its commitment to sustainable development, Adisseo is pleased to announce that its industrial site in Saint-Clair-du-Rhône, France, is making a significant contribution to the DECLYC project.

This initiative, led by AXELERA and supported by the Metropole of Lyon, has received the recognition and support of ADEME, the French Agency for Ecological Transition.

The aim is to accelerate decarbonization efforts in Lyon Chemical Valley, with a targeted 80% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2050, equivalent to 1.6 million tons of CO2 per year, in line with national sustainable development objectives.

The project is divided into several themes, with Adisseo participating in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage.

The first step involves some volunteers industrial entity in the Chemical Valley in France that are concerned with the assessment of its CO2 emissions. Following this, an analysis of all the gathered data will be conducted. Subsequently, collaborative discussions across industries will start, focusing on the shared transportation, infrastructure, storage, and potential utilization of CO2 . The goal is to identify areas for collaboration and mutualization and avoid isolated business developments for each industry.

This initiative is in line with our ambition to help provide the world with healthy, high-quality, and affordable food based on the principles of sustainability.
