Recently, Elkem Xinghuo Silicones successfully launched the “E-Batch Card,” which is now undergoing a trial operation in Workshop W6 of Branch II. This marks a significant advancement in downstream production process management from manual control to digital control. The E-Batch Card facilitates electronic recording and management of the production process, resulting in reduced production data archives, streamlined recording steps, and minimized transcribing time. This ultimately enhances data flow and boosts efficiency.
The production of downstream specialty silicon products is a form of multi-variety small-batch intermittent production. The formulation and process are crucial to this procedure. The E-Batch Card is utilized in the subsidiaries’ intermittent production mode and batch management mode, and the terminal equipment is a 4/5G private network mobile explosion-proof tablet computer. This system includes management and data collection features, including procedures and formulas for specialty product production, packaging arrangements, production materials, work reporting, process analysis and comparison, and real-time work orders. These data will be integral to the downstream specialty product production process in the future, and serve as a strong foundation for enhancing digital production and research and development.
The objective of constructing the E-Batch Card project is to integrate advanced digital technology with formula and process management in the production process, thereby enhancing product quality significantly. E-Batch Card establishes standards and requirements for each process in the production, enabling prompt detection and correction of operational deviations. This improves product quality stability for various production personnel and processes. By standardizing and optimizing the process flow, the E-Batch Card will significantly decrease errors and repetitive tasks in the production process, enhancing production efficiency and capacity utilization. With streamlined operations and a lean process flow, the E-Batch Card will also decrease resource waste, decrease production costs, and improve the economic benefits of the subsidiaries.
In alignment with Sinochem Holdings’ strategic development goals for downstream specialty products, Elkem Xinghuo Silicones aims to expand the use of the E-Batch Card to additional batch manual operation and automated production lines. This will lead to efficient, high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable production development.
