From November 5 to 10, the 6th China International Import Expo ("CIIE") opened in Shanghai. As a loyal CIIE fan who has attended six times, Bluestar continued writing exciting CIIE stories around the theme of "green, healthy, innovative, development and sustainable". This year, Elkem's booth space at the CIIE has expanded sevenfold from 36 m2 to 252 m2 . The company showcased its technological innovation achievements and sustainable solutions in areas including home furnishings, healthcare, future technology, and transportation. At the CIIE, Adisseo showcased the Precise Nutrition Evaluation (PNE) platform, a cutting-edge tool empowering the feed and livestock industry to accurately assess the nutritional value of feed ingredients. This platform, developed by Adisseo based on 30 years of experience, has three major highlights. Firstly, it covers 93 types of feed raw materials, encompassing energy raw materials, protein raw materials, and animal-derived raw materials, among others. It simplifies the use of local raw materials and mitigates reliance on protein raw materials imports, such as soybean meal. Secondly, this platform offers more than 123 nutritional and feeding value indicators, which comprise conventional nutritional indicators, amino acids, digestible amino acids, metabolic energy, and anti-nutritional factors, facilitating accurate formulation. Thirdly, it enables real-time networked responses for feed quality control, guaranteeing the safety of animal food sources. The Expo also highlighted Nor-Feed, a subsidiary specializing in natural feed additives. Nor-Feed's focus on preventive nutrition strategies has led to the development of safe and effective plant-based additives for animal feed. With over 1,300 hectares of sustainable cultivation areas in France, Nor-Feed has reduced the use of antibiotics, anti-coccidial drugs, and pesticides through plant extracts, leading to a smaller carbon footprint, improved animal production, and enhanced animal welfare. These natural additives contribute to gut health, improved daily weight gain, pathogen inhibition, enhanced animal reproductive performance, and improved meat quality.
