To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and promote the project of improving the spirituality of youth, on June 9, Bluestar held the first speech contest themed “Voice of Youth”, learning and practicing the ethos of Sinochem Holdings in the new era with practical actions.
Hao Zhigang, Chairman and Party Secretary of Bluestar, Guo Xiaozhao, Deputy Secretary of the Sinochem Holdings Youth League Committee (in charge of daily work), and Dong Dachuan, Vice President and Deputy Party Secretary of Bluestar, attended the event and delivered speeches. Eleven contestants from Bluestar HQ and subsidiaries participated in the contest, while representatives of young employees from the HQ and the Youth League Committee of subsidiaries outside Beijing watched the contest on-site or online.
From their own positions, the contestants either inherited the spirit of revolutionists, conveyed the power of their role models, or shared their perceptions of the company’s entrepreneurial journey and their profound experiences of their personal growth and success, interpreting with enthusiasm and vivid language the declaration of Bluestar youths’ adhering to the ethos and following the Party all their lives.
After fierce competition, two first-prize winners, four second-prize winners, and five third-prize winners were selected for the contest. Leaders such as Hao Zhigang, Guo Xiaozhao, and Dong Dachuan awarded honorary trophies to the winners.
Highly praising this contest, Hao Zhigang stated that the 20th CPC National Congress placed great expectations on youths in the new era and indicated the direction. Under this high expectation, Bluestar Youths would take this contest as an opportunity to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, learn and understand Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, closely link the “Youth Dream”, “Bluestar Dream”, and “Family and Country Dream”, and follow the instructions and guidance of the Party. The development of Bluestar in recent years in promoting overseas subsidiaries’ One-China Strategy and international integration cannot be achieved without the full commitment and hard work of all the youths of Bluestar. He hoped that they would continue to contribute to the high-quality development of Sinochem Holdings and Bluestar with their youth power.
According to Dong Dachuan, this speech contest fully showcases the ethos of the youths of Bluestar who are committed to their positions, promote high-quality development of the company, and unite to build a world-class comprehensive chemical enterprise. In the future, the youths of Bluestar are expected to continue to embrace their dreams and be on the ground to achieve new development for Bluestar.
