Recently, BCMC signed an EPCM EPC contract with the India-based A Group for the 770,000 t/a caustic soda project in the first phase of the 2 million t/a green PVC complex project, which is the world's largest single caustic soda and PVC integration project to date.
As the second largest group in India, A Group is currently involved in ports, new energy & power generation and transmission, coal trade, real estate, airport operations, and other fields, with six listed companies. The 2 million t/a green PVC complex project (hereinafter referred to as "the Project") will be the world's first green, digital caustic soda, and PVC project. Among them, the EPCM EPC project ("EPC project") for the Phase I 770,000 t/a caustic soda project of the Project is by far the largest single integrated caustic soda and PVC project in the world. As its PVC units apply the latest green technology of Johnson Matthey's gold catalyst, the EPC project has strict requirements on the product quality from the upstream chlor alkali unit.
In addition to being the largest caustic soda project in the world, the EPC project is also the largest order in single caustic soda projects of BCMC since its establishment. All design documents for the EPC project are subject to strict international benchmarking, which provides a rare opportunity to showcase BCMC's capabilities in engineering design, quality control, and project management. It will also provide an excellent "stage" for BCMC's vision of "becoming a global leader in green energy-saving electrolysis technology and building a technology-based engineering company".
