On September 15, Adisseo held the start-up ceremony of the liquid methionine project with an annual output of 180,000 tons. Yang Shihao, Vice President and Member of the Leading Party Group of Sinochem Holdings, Hao Zhigang, Chairman and Party Secretary of Bluestar, Chairman of Adisseo, and Chen Jianning, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Office of Nanjing Jiangbei New Material Technology Park participated in the ceremony online, and they jointly lit up the commissioning operation indicator. The operation start-up of the project not only signifies that Adisseo's Nanjing plant has scaled to new heights to become the single plant with the most significant liquid methionine capacity in the world. It will consolidate Adisseo's leading position in methionine globally while laying a solid industrial foundation for boosting the penetration of liquid methionine in the Chinese and global markets. The project was officially launched in early 2018. Despite the twists and turns during the 4-year preparation and construction, such as outbreaks of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was wrapped up as scheduled, thanks to the support of all various parties. It is noteworthy that the project has a record of 7.5 million hours with zero accidents, bringing to the fore that Adisseo holds safety and sustainability in utmost esteem.
Yang Shihao said in his speech that as a leader in the global animal nutrition industry, the products and solutions provided by Adisseo are of great significance to the application of "low protein diet" technology advocated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and helping solve food security problems.
