The EcoVadis rating is based on international sustainable development standards that cover 21 criteria on four major themes: environmental protection; business ethics; sustainable procurement; labor & human rights. This year's platinum rating is an upgrade of the gold rating obtained by Bluestar Elkem in 2021. These rating results are higher than the industry average in all indicators. Bluestar Elkem CEO Helge Aasen said: "Sustainability is an integral part of our strategy.
