The Toray BlueStar Membrane Co Ltd and Shanghai Hantech Co have signed an agreement and have announced that Shanghai Hantech is now the official distributor of Toray BlueStar's global reverse osmosis membrane process.
Shanghai Hantech is a water treatment company that integrates production, manufacturing, R&D, sales, and services with subsidiaries and branch offices in cities across China. It is also China抯 largest water treatment parts distributor. It is working to become a leading supplier globally of water treatment components by cooperating with Toray Bluestar.
Toray BlueStar is China's largest reverse osmosis membrane supplier. It is a joint venture of the China National BlueStar (Group) Co Ltd, China's leading chemical industry company, and Toray Industries, a global reverse osmosis membrane producer, that specializes in membrane production and sales to supply advanced reverse osmosis membrane technology. It has the largest, most advanced reverse osmosis membrane production base, with the widest range of products in China.
It was also the first company to provide a full range of leading automatic filming and film rolling technology and its products are in use in many large water treatment projects around the world. These include the world's largest polluted water recycling project (Sulaibiya in Kuwait, 320,000 t/d), the second largest polluted water recycling project (Changyi in Singapore, 228,000 t/d), the world largest sea water desalination project (Megtaa in Algeria, 500,000 t/d). Its reverse osmosis membrane products have also been used in many Chinese projects including the country's largest polluted water recycling project (Ningxia, 100,000 t/d), the largest sea water desalination project (Qingdao, 100,000 t/d), and a sea water desalination pilot project (Caofeidian, 50,000 t/d).
Toray Bluestar has led to a number of changes in China's reverse osmosis membrane business since it was established in 2009, with its advanced technology and client-oriented approach, including the country's most advanced reverse osmosis membrane production base, a Qingdao Baifa project, a Hebei Caofeidian project, and a new-generation high-chemical durable-TM reverse osmosis membrane.
Its cooperation with Shanghai Hantech will bring new chances for Toray BlueStar to explore the market and inject vitality into China's reverse osmosis membrane business.
