As spring blossomed, Sinochem Holdings welcomed two “tech envoys” - Marcio Ceccantini from Brazil and Daniel Luchini from the United States, both experts from Adisseo. In 2024, the two experts were honored as the first foreign researchers to be appointed as Sinochem Holdings’ T5 experts. They also hold the title of Master Experts, the highest-level research scientists at Adisseo, and represent the top-tier research talent within Sinochem Holdings’ animal nutrition industry chain.

Invited to China, the two embarked on a ten-plus-day tech exchange tour, which not only deepened dialogue and cooperation on cutting-edge technologies between China and foreign countries but also opened a new chapter for research talent exchanges within Sinochem Holdings’ global network.

During their stay in Beijing, the experts visited Syngenta Beijing Innovation Center, engaging with the research team at Syngenta Group China’s Seed Research Platform. Shared industry backgrounds and international R&D experiences led to discussions on many topics of mutual interest. Both sides agreed that Sinochem Holdings’ platform advantages and internal R&D synergies offer vast potential for collaboration. Moving forward, they will leverage their respective expertise to further strengthen resource sharing and technical exchanges, continuously exploring cooperation potential in areas such as seed improvement, animal nutrition, biotechnology, and sustainable agricultural solutions, jointly driving the sustainable development of Sinochem Holdings’ life sciences industry.

Located in Liuhe District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Adisseo Nanjing plant is Adisseo’s most important global production base for liquid methionine. During their visit, the two experts conducted an on-site inspection of the plant’s methionine production line. Drawing on their experience with similar projects, particularly the upgrade of Adisseo’s liquid methionine plant in Spain, they engaged in in-depth discussions with on-site technical personnel, translating overseas expertise into effective measures to enhance domestic production quality and efficiency.

Notably, at Adisseo China R&D and Innovation Center (RICA) in Yuhuatai District, Nanjing, the data on new antioxidants displayed in the bioanalysis lab caught Marcio’s attention. “This provides new insights for optimizing the technical advantages and quality standards of our vitamin products, and it’s worth learning from,” Marcio remarked.

During their visit, the two experts also conducted in-depth field research aligned with their respective specialties. Daniel visited the dairy farming base of Youran Dairy, a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Yili. The base adopts domestically leading technologies such as fully automated “unmanned barns” and uses Adisseo's ruminant nutrition solutions. Daniel experienced firsthand the differences between large-scale Chinese pastures and those in Europe and the United States. He stated that the next step would be to leverage the achievements of Adisseo Global Ruminant Nutrition R&D Center, closely aligning with the needs of Chinese farms to optimize feed nutrition ratios and further help large-scale farms like Yili’s reduce costs and improve efficiency in feed management. Marcio spent a week visiting vitamin industry chain enterprises across the Yangtze River Delta, engaging in deep discussions with technical teams from Adisseo’s partner companies. He noted that vitamin products for feed have vast application prospects and growth potential in the Chinese market, and he will continue to drive the enhancement of Adisseo’s technical advantages in this area.

This “China Tour” by the foreign T5 experts was enriching and insightful. From Beijing and Jiangsu to Inner Mongolia, from R&D labs to pastures and workshops, the two experts not only witnessed Sinochem Holdings’ expansive development platform and innovative capabilities but also personally experienced the dynamic vitality of China’s progress.
